The Lori Bed is designed for straightforward DIY assembly and can typically be completed in 4–6 hours, depending on your experience, tools, and whether you have help. We recommend having two people for easier handling of the bed components.
If you’d prefer professional assistance, we also offer in-home assembly through our trusted national service partner. You can add this option during checkout, and once your order ships, the installer will contact you directly to schedule your assembly appointment for a time after delivery.
DIY Assembly Overview
- Prepare Your Space – Clear an area near where the bed will be installed. Place cardboard or a blanket on the floor to protect both the surface and the bed during assembly.
- Gather Your Tools – You’ll need a Phillips head screwdriver, a variable-speed power drill, a stud finder, and a level. Allen keys and a wrench are included in your kit, along with all necessary hardware.
- Assemble the Cabinet – Begin by assembling the wooden cabinet components.
- Mount to the Wall – Proper wall anchoring is essential for safety; follow the guide closely for this step.
- Install the Platform – Attach the metal and wood platform components.
- Add Optional Kits – If you purchased a Shelf Kit or Desk Kit, follow the included add-on instructions.
- Final Adjustments and Safety Checks – Adjust the leveling feet, secure mattress straps and slats, and confirm all fasteners are tightened.
