The Lori Bed works with any mattress up to 10 inches thick. We calibrated the lifting mechanism to match the weight of The Lori Mattress, which we specifically designed for our Murphy beds, and weighs 50lbs for a Twin and 77lbs for a Queen. Your bed will be easiest to lift if you choose the Lori Mattress, or one of similar weight.
