The total depth measurement includes the wall cabinet, meaning the platform starts 14 inches away from the wall when in the upright position. When lowering the bed, it "rolls" down on the rounded parts beneath the bottom shelf, naturally moving further away from the wall as it transitions to the sleeping position.
As a result, the fully opened depth is:
- 105" for the Queen Vertical
- 86" for the Queen Horizontal
Once the bed is fully lowered, you’re welcome to push it slightly toward the wall to save space. However, be sure you have enough room for you and a partner to fully lift and lower the platform before doing so.
