How does the YouLift Bed work without a lifting mechanism?

How does the YouLift Bed work without a lifting mechanism?

We've eliminated the typical lifting mechanism that can drive up the cost of a Murphy bed. Instead, our YouLift Bed uses a simple design with wooden "rockers" at the floor that allow the bed to "roll" up and down. This means you can lift and lower the bed with the help of a partner, saving you hundreds of dollars.

Is it safe to operate the bed alone?

For safe operation, we recommend that at least two able-bodied adults are present to lift and lower the bed. It is never recommended to operate the bed by yourself. Additionally, be sure to choose a lightweight mattress like the YouLift Mattress, as even a 10-20lb difference in weight can make it harder to lift and lower.

Can the mattress platform be moved once it's lowered?

Yes! The mattress platform is only connected to the cabinet when it is locked into place. Once unlocked, the two pieces are no longer connected, and you can manually adjust the platform to fit your space as needed.
