Assembling the YouLift Bed is a manageable process and typically takes around 2 to 4 hours. Here’s a summary of the steps:

Note: Always follow the assembly guide!

  1. Prepare Your Space Make sure you have enough room for assembly and position yourself near where the bed will be installed. It’s recommended to lay down cardboard or another protective covering on the floor to prevent damage.
  2. Gather Your Tools You will need a Phillips head screwdriver, wrench, power drill, rubber mallet, and a level. The kit includes all necessary hardware, including bolts, screws, and connectors.
  3. Assemble the Platform Start by assembling the platform. This involves connecting the wood panels using the provided connector screws and inserts.
  4. Install the Cabinet Assemble the cabinet by connecting the side panels and securing the shelves inside. The side panels are fastened with connector screws and inserts. Additionally, install the hinge plates and locks, which will be used to secure the bed when it’s in a folded position.
  5. Mount the Bed to the Wall Wall anchoring is a crucial step. Ensure the cabinet is securely fastened to the wall using the provided anchor screws. Use a stud finder to locate the wall studs and drill the necessary pilot holes for a secure installation.
  6. Install the Mattress Strap and Locks Once the bed is assembled, attach the mattress strap anchors to the platform and secure the mattress strap to hold the mattress in place. Install the locking mechanism to keep the bed in the folded position when not in use.
  7. Final Adjustments and Testing After assembly, check that all fasteners are securely tightened. Test the platform by raising and lowering it to ensure it’s functioning smoothly. If needed, adjust the platform’s alignment and secure it with the locking hardware.
